Ahmanet is the primary antagonist of the 2017 film The Mummy. She is an ancient Egyptian princess who was promised by her father, the Pharoah, that she would be Queen of Egypt one day. However after her father has a son, he renege on his promise, instead naming his son as his heir. Infuriated by this betrayal she murders her father and as punishment is entombed within an ornate sarcophagus and remained buried for millennia, until she was excavated by an American military team under the employ of the United Kingdom to bring the sarcophagus back to London. Ahmanet's power summoned powerful storm-force winds and a flock of birds to crash the plane with both her and Nick Morton still aboard. With her powers growing, Ahmanet seeks to unleash her wrath upon the modern world.

The Mummy is a 2017 American action-adventure horror film directed by Alex Kurtzman and written by David Koepp, Christopher McQuarrie and Dylan Kussman. It is a reboot of The Mummy franchise and the first installment in the Dark Universe film series. The film stars Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis, Sofia Boutella, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance and Russell Crowe. The film will be released on June 9, 2017.
