Bodie Island Lighthouse in North Carolina
Located just south of Nags Head and Whale Bone Junction, the Bodie Island Lighthouse is a great attraction to stop at while in the Outer Banks. Built in the 1870’s, the Bodie Island Lighthouse has been under the care of the National Parks Service since 1953 and has been remodeled several times to ensure visitors can enjoy it. Visitors are able to visit the interior and the grounds while the area is great for bird watching and nature lovers.
