Final Fantasy is a console role-playing game developed and published in Japan by Square (now Square Enix) in 1987 and published in North America by Nintendo of America in 1990.
Aion: Tower of Eternity is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in development by NCsoft that combines PvP and PvE in a fantasy dream setting. Touted as a PVPVE, Aion: Tower of Eternity will feature flight as well as aerial combat in a shattered fantasy landscape.
Based on an interview with Ken Choi recorded in October 2007, this is the background story of Aion.
In the beginning, the Balaur, a powerful race of servitors created by the god Aion roamed the world of Atreia. However, their own will led them to disobey Aion's wishes and they rebelled against their creator. Aion then created the Empyrean Lords, the forerunners of another race, the Daevas. Even though the Daevas were less powerful as individuals then the Balaur, Aion gave them a sense of loyalty and worship towards himself so they would obey him in all matters.
