The 2020 London Marathon will be the 40th running of the annual marathon race in London, United Kingdom, which will take place on Sunday, 4 October. The race was originally scheduled to be held on 26 April, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 London Marathon will be an elite-only race, with the mass participation event cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will use a different course to usual, consisting of multiple laps around St James's Park.
