Moo Deng—a squishy, shiny, purple-pink pygmy hippo born this summer at a zoo in Thailand, and whose name means “bouncing pig”—has taken the internet by storm.

A two-month-old female pygmy hippo named Moo Deng eats with her mother Jona at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand. Social media is obsessed with Moo Deng in part because of her diminutive size compared to the common hippo. But pygmy hippos can still weigh up to 600 pounds.
